A Life of Gratitude…
When the responsibilities, dramas and stresses of living almost seem to be squeezing the joy out of life, it’s so to easy to get beaten down and turn into someone you don’t like or recognize. You’re as young as your soul and spirit is. A positive resilient spirit shines through and keeps you young and beautiful forever.
How do you cultivate a beautiful spirit? By fertilizing it with gratitude and doing the things you love! Instead of being fixated on everything that’s wrong in our lives, why not focus on everything that’s right and good. And don’t let the business of life stop you from setting aside time to do the things that you love – they nourish your soul! Set aside a few minutes every morning to reflect on the things big and little in your life that you’re thankful for and you’ll notice a change taking place in you and consequently your life.
Suddenly, all the negatives are replaced by the positives and a positive state of mind is a much better place to be for yourself and those around you. You’ll notice a shift in balance tipping towards everything good, attracting good. And when times are bad this new way of looking at life will give you the strength you need. Go ahead and live a grateful life, it will be one of the easiest and best things you did for yourself.
Be thankful that you don’t already have everything you desire.
If you did, what would there be to look forward to?
Be thankful when you don’t know something,
for it gives you the opportunity to learn.
Be thankful for the difficult times.
During those times you grow.
Be thankful for your limitations,
because they give you opportunities for improvement.
Be thankful for each new challenge,
because it will build your strength and character.
Be thankful for your mistakes.
They will teach you valuable lessons.
Be thankful when you’re tired and weary,
because it means you’ve made a difference.
It’s easy to be thankful for the good things.
A life of rich fulfillment comes to those who
are also thankful for the setbacks.
Gratitude can turn a negative into a positive.
Find a way to be thankful for your troubles,
and they can become your blessings.
